Sutter’s Ridge is a small family owned and operated farm. On our farm, we grow a 5 acre apple orchard, 6 acre pumpkin patch, 1/2 acre raspberry patch, 1 acre grape orchard, 5 acres of corn dedicated for our corn maze, decorative fall mums, squash and gourds. We have 2,000 apple trees and grow over 25 different apple varieties.

FRESH - LOCAL To pick our quality fruit at the peak of its season pretty much sums it up. We feel its important to know where food comes from and how its grown.. As less and less people grow up on a farm or even have a relative who is a farmer, we feel its important not to lose our farming history and traditions. We want our small family farm to be a part of your autumn tradition to celebrate the autumn harvest season.

We love the land we farm and we eat everything we grow! We value the ability to eat safely what you and we pick and eat! Our goal to use minimal amounts of chemicals on our crops, and non-chemical controls like mating disruption & pheromone traps are always used. We only apply a spray if the levels of one pest or disease rise above levels we are unable to manage any other way. These practices together are called Integrated Pest Management or IPM. When choosing a material for a spray, we consider what will have the least amount of negative impact to our farm-ecology. We try hard to keep everything in balance, and the health of our bee’s is a priority. (good bugs eat bad bugs)
We are also constantly exploring other practices to improve the health of our land. These sustainable practices include drip irrigation to conserves water usage in dry years, proper pruning to allow air movement through the trees and mowing the orchard to limit pest habitat to name a few.
